We look forward to more of these events in the future!!!

Church on Sunday: Work on Monday…
Description: We spend nearly half our waking hours at work. Is work solely a means to an end–an avenue for providing income? Is work meant to be our mission field–our opportunity to meet and share Christ with non-Christian workers? Or are we to find meaning and fulfillment in the work itself? It’s a complex issue that raises all sorts of questions, especially if we don’t particularly like our job or if we’re working in an environment that brings out the worst in us rather than the best. Whether work for you feels like the daily grind or you’ve found yourself in the dream job, the discussions we will have in this study will help you explore together the significance of work in your life as a Christian and will challenge you in ways you may not expect.
Details: Come explore the heavenly good of our earthly work with us. This Bible study will begin at Noon on Monday, September 14th at Warner Kennon’s law office located on 2nd Avenue just across from the court house in downtown Columbus. All men are encouraged to bring your own lunch and enjoy the time of fellowship and study of God’s Word together. It is from 12:00 p.m. -1:00 p.m. each Monday up until the Christmas season.
Address: 842 Second Avenue

Meet the Pastor – Bill Douglas

Bill was a young ambitious preacher fresh out of seminary and newly married when he and his wife, Brooke, came to Columbus, GA, to start a PCA church plant. A then-recent graduate of Covenant Seminary, he had high hopes of starting a church and seeing it grow in the grace of our Heavenly Father for many years. And God has been good. In 1986, St. Andrews became an official church of the PCA and though there were many bumps (and pot holes!) in the road, God has upheld His people here at St. Andrews to this day.
When Bill and Brooke first moved to Columbus, they had one daughter, Erin, and two more that were soon to join the family – Emmie and Leigh. Now, the two oldest daughters are married and Leigh is an RUF intern at Clemson. Bill is extremely attached to and proud of his Scottish heritage and will talk at length with you about it – if so desired. He is also an avid tennis player and enjoys riding his bike along the Columbus River Walk. Brooke is an amazing artist and an even better conversationalist.
Bill is the senior pastor here at St. Andrews. His love for the Lord and passion for the Gospel is evident, inspiring, and refreshing. I have enjoyed working alongside him and being under his leadership. Bill is a great preacher and even better at discipling. If you have attended St. Andrews for a while or are just visiting and have not taken a chance to get to know our pastor, I encourage you to do so!
