The SAPC Youth Ministry is led by Mathes Ballard.  Students 7-12 grade meet in Room 101 on Sunday mornings (9:30-10:30 am) for Sunday School with the focus on growing in their understanding of scripture and God's promises.  The youth meet on Sunday evenings (5:30-7:30 pm) for Youth Group with a focus on fellowship, worship, and spiritual growth.  The youth group participates in two annual events, RENEW and FALL CAMP. The youth group also meets in Small groups throughout the week.  Each is detailed below.

small groups

Small groups of students meet weekly.  These groups are supervised by adult leaders and are divided up by grade level and gender.  Small Groups are a place where deep spiritual growth can occur and deeper friendships can be forged.  Contact Mathes Ballard at for more details.

Fall Camp

Each year we pick a weekend in the Fall and have CAMP.  This is a weekend where we encourage students to step away from the busyness of life and find comfort in a weekend of learning, laughing, and praising God.  We have multiple sessions with a guest speaker, worship music, and lots of fun activities.  We split up into teams and have competitions.  Camp is a great time for students to mature both spiritually and socially.  Friendships are forged and strengthened during weekends like these.  This is one of our marquee events each year.

This is a weeklong local event that involves both fun events as well as a component of a "local mission trip."   Students are given the opportunity to utilize their talents and gifts, as well as knowledge learned, to serve their local community in a very practical way. This event is in partnership with Highland Community Church here in Columbus, GA. In the past, we have also incorporated a fun short range trip full of activities to conclude the week.  This is one of our main events each year and we encourage all students to take part.
