Mission Statement

The mission of the Children’s Ministries of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church is to proclaim the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, our only hope in life and death, and to provide a fun and exciting environment where kids and parents can fellowship with and encourage one another, and grow together toward maturity in Christ.

Sunday Morning Ministries

Two of our most important ministries for children take place on Sunday mornings. The most important ministry that we have is Sunday School, which runs from 9:30 to 10:30 AM every Sunday morning from January to November (we take December off as a church in order to extend our worship service). Sunday School is our most important ministry because in it we teach children the truths of God’s Word (the Bible). Children not only learn the stories of the Bible, but also the overarching story of God’s Word, which is God choosing a people for Himself and saving those people through His Son Jesus Christ.

Our other Sunday morning ministry for children is Children’s Church. Children’s Church is a ministry for 4K and 5K children during the sermon portion of the worship service. Before the sermon, the 4 and 5 year old children are taken by the Children’s Church leaders to Room 110, where they hear a lesson and do a fun craft. The parents then pick up their children in Room 110 after the service is over.

Kids Club

Kids Club is a ministry for children ages 4 up through the 3rd grade. Kids Club takes place on Sunday evenings from 6 to 7:30 PM once a month during the school year. Kids Club is a place where kids can learn more about their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and fellowship with other kids their age. At Kids Club, we eat a fellowship meal together, have a short Bible lesson, and play fun games. For more information about Kids Club, visit the Kids Club page here.

K.I.C.K.

K.I.C.K., which stands for “Kids in Christ’s Kingdom”, is a ministry for children in the 4th, 5th & 6th grades. At K.I.C.K., we eat a fellowship meal together, study the Bible, and play fun games. K.I.C.K. is a place where kids are challenged to think more deeply about what they believe. K.I.C.K. is a safe place where kids can ask honest questions about God, the Bible and what it means to have faith in Jesus Christ and walk with Him. For more information about K.I.C.K., you can go to the K.I.C.K. page here.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

VBS is an exciting ministry where kids can have lots of fun and can learn about God’s great love for them in the person of Jesus Christ. Kids have an opportunity to sing, play games, enjoy fun crafts, hear Bible lessons from adults in costume, and fellowship with other children their age.
