As God’s people, we are called to reach out to the world with a message – the message of Jesus Christ: that Christ, who is both God and man, came to save us from our sin by dying on the cross and being raised from the dead, and who now sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.

The Missions Ministry Team helps us to take this message both to our community, to our nation and to the world. Our Missions Ministry Team is responsible for selecting quality organizations with which to partner in this effort.
Not only do we support others in the endeavor of sharing the good news of Christ with the nations, but we are also active in this endeavor ourselves. In the last few years, the church has sponsored and sent teams on mission trips to Biloxi, MS (to do relief work in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina) and to Bulgaria and Zimbabwe.

One of the ways the Missions Ministry Team serves the church is through our annual Missions Conference. Recent speakers have been Craig Shepherd, Director of Eastern European Missions for Mission to the World, and Dr. Frank Barker, Pastor Emeritus of Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, Alabama.

Through these many efforts we seek to fulfill God’s call on our lives to reach out into the world with the good news of Jesus Christ.
